In this way, it will enhance access to the region\u2019s cultural, professional and commercial hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull is-style-bg-arrows has-white-background-color has-background\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The optimal circuit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The circuit linking Gatineau\u2019s west end to the Gatineau and Ottawa downtowns was established further to an exhaustive analysis of different scenarios and based on several criteria, as follows :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>population distribution and density;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>peak period traffic and bus congestion;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the main trip generators and activity hubs;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the city\u2019s expansion;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the proximity of existing and planned real estate and commercial developments;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>projected trip times;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>efficient service for the Gatineau and Ottawa downtowns and alignment with the major public transit axes (Rapibus, O-Train, OC Transpo);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gatineau.ca\/docs\/guichet_municipal\/reglements_municipaux\/reglements_urbanisme\/docs\/R-2050-2016_schema\/R-2050-2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gatineau\u2019s revised land use and development plan (SADR)<\/a>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>projected construction costs;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>impact on built, heritage and natural environments; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>operational issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From Gatineau to Ottawa&#8230;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gatineau\u2019s west end will be served by two axes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the north axis will run along chemin Vanier, boulevard du Plateau and boulevard Saint-Raymond; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the south axis will run along boulevard des Allumetti\u00e8res, boulevard Wilfrid-Lavigne and chemin d\u2019Aylmer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These two axes will share a portion between the intersection of boulevard Saint-Raymond and boulevard Alexandre-Tach\u00e9, which will run along boulevard Alexandre-Tach\u00e9 and boulevard Lucerne, and then along rue Laurier.
